Partnering for a Cure

This past Sunday (Mother’s Day in the U.S.) Major League Baseball and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation embarked on a national partnership that went beyond the jumbo tron screens and giveaways at the gate.  I was impressed to see major league players swinging pink bats, sporting pink elbow supports- Alfonso Soriano’s pink cleats were a bit much, but hey, I’m old school!

All kidding aside seeing the players get involved, participating in promotional TV spots and actually “walking the talk” is something all marketers can learn from as we plan for any partnership marketing programs.

Kudos to MLB and Komen for a well planned partnership.
