Although many doom sayers claim it’s dead, e-mail is one of the remaining “push” or outbound tactics that should be part of your integrated marketing mix.
E-mail is still a good way to develop business and used carefully is a fabulous client retention tool. Many service businesses have adapted to e-mail and use it intelligently as a service reminder “time for that 25,000 mile engine service.”

makes the correspondence realistic and powerful.
So, the take away- with proper “diet and exercise” (list cleansing, proper personalization, offer relevance and mailbox management) your e-mail marketing will remain alive and well.
